I'm Faya Chidekh, composer, author and performer.
Ma rencontre avec la musique a été immédiate, presque physique. Enfant, dans une cathédrale, les Carmina Burana ont résonné comme une évidence : la musique serait mon langage et je serai compositrice.
Trained in classical piano, then in musicology and ethnomusicology, I very early on moved away from traditional frameworks to explore a freer, more intuitive path. L’improvisation, les musiques du monde et les liens entre le son et le corps sont devenus le cœur de ma recherche.
Au fil des années, j’ai développé une approche personnelle de la création : une musique sensible, incarnée, où la voix, les textures sonores et les imperfections ont toute leur place. En tant qu’author, words are, for me, a form of music in their own right. I have published two collections of poems and written three novels.
Trained in sound engineering and music therapy, I now work at the crossroads of several worlds: composition, sound creation and artistic support.
I compose primarily for visual media, as well as for unique artistic projects, where music becomes a space for profound, sometimes raw, but always human expression.
FLUX RECORDS is an extension of this approach: an independent, free and demanding creative space.
